I am the author of Die Healthy: Pursuing the Dream of Wellness and Longevity.
My bestselling book was approved for Foreign Rights, showcased at the Frankfurt International Book Fair – including the virtual website PubMatch.org
Die Healthy is a fabulous life guide in beauty and health that is environmentally published, supports sustainable healthy living and designed with the reader in mind.
A beautiful interior of colored graphics and charts makes for an easy, interesting read. There are case studies on how clients took back control of their own well-being. The book is a wonderful resource for educators, health professionals and laypersons seeking a “wealth of wellness” to transform their life… and of others.
Tell us something about yourself.
I’m a Wellness Expert: an award-winning inventor from Winnipeg, Canada, scientist, “GREEN” author and writer, sought-after speaker and professional vocalist in beauty and health. Using my Proprietary methods and European Bel Canto vocal training, I ignite a client’s success for achieving vibrant health, great vitality, emotional balance, beauty sleep, easy weight management… and more. As Founder and Director of Positive Living Inc., I find great joy in making a difference is so many lives.
What inspired you to write this book?
“The world will be saved by the western woman.”
—The Dalai Lama
People in my business and personal life tell me that I am that woman! This inspired me to write my book. Also, Angela Wood, President, Creative Director of Circle Media and Inventive Women (who profiled my work in her book (Canadian Women Invent!), thought people would benefit from the guidance of someone like myself. Someone who not only talked the talk, but as Angela put it “walked the talk” in respect to being a living example of my Positive Living philosophy.
How did you choose the title?
The development of a wellness article and the ever increasing epidemic of several diseases such as arthritis, depression, diabetes, obesity, cancer and cardiovascular disease – including the feedback from business professionals led to this “BRILLIANT” title… often noted by book reviewers.
How did you know you wanted to be a writer? How did you get started?
As an award-winning inventor with several discoveries in beauty and health to my credit, the writer in me (and Die Healthy) were born out of innovation.
It was a natural sequence of events that made me pursue the writing of this book, which in turn, was encouraged by many people in my business and personal life.
When you have novel ideas backed by Intellectual Property, you know that you will differentiate yourself in the marketplace. For these reasons as well, I chose to self-publish… coordinating all activities surrounding the book project.
Do you have any writing rituals?
I seize the day bright and early… usually 5:30 AM. Working on an uncluttered, large desk surface with lots of natural light coming into an open space is my sustainable platform for an innovative, creative writing ritual.
Are you working on your next book? What can you tell us about it?
At the moment, I do have Action Guides as well as an exciting book on space and wellness in the development stage. Both projects promise to facilitate the reader’s path to experience beauty, health and fitness.
As a writer, I am honored to inform your readers that I will be showcased in 4 new books (and more pending) by American authors and publishing houses… all to be published in 2011!
The books range in areas of business mentoring for women, women and business success, women and business transformation and skills for query letters.
What is the best advice you could give other writers about writing or publishing?
When innovation ignites your daily writing ritual, it becomes your gift of opportunity.
In terms of publishing, consider self-publishing if it is important for you to control or manage the book’s content and outcome.
Who is the perfect reader for your book?
People seeking a “wealth of wellness” not based on bandwagon promises will definitely want to purchase Die Healthy: Pursuing the Dream of Wellness and Longevity.
Also, readers searching for a beauty and health book as an Action Guide and a check-off wellness wish list offering innovative content, charts and case studies will enjoy the easy read.
Lastly, readers who want others to ask “What’s your secret” … or say “Wow… you look fabulous!” will follow this book for life.
