Nurses On Our Own is the story of the adventure of two Chicago Nurses who pioneered a business and Nursing Service to accommodate patients and act as a supplement not a substitute for Doctors. They ended up doing Home Care, working on movie sets like Dr. Detroit and Risky Business, ministering to the poor and rich and movie stars. They even acted as private detectives. Then, they lost their jobs and sued the hospital for the termination due to an outside interest and settled. They ended up in People Magazine and the Congressional Record. One went on in business to become a millionaire. This is a story for women and men–nurses or not. They are also Police wives.
