The most recent work is called encoded. I would call it an epic technological thrill ride that also highlights relevant issues one might find living in the information age.
Tell us something about yourself.
I have been reading and writing all my life. I’m originally from a small border town on the southern tip of the state of Arizona called Nogales, AZ. I can speak and read Spanish because of this fact and I have a degree in aviation from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. At one point I wanted to be a pilot.
What inspired you to write this book?
In college I have always loved the book 1984 and the big brother theme although it may not take the exact form described by Orwell we are seeing a similar occurrence given the data mining issues we see today.
What obstacles did you encounter in getting this book published? How did you overcome them?
I’ve had a serious crash course in publishing and the many avenues to do that. From advice to discussion with various names in the industry you name it. Fortunately, almost everyone who has read the piece has expressed a desire to publish the work. I take that as a good sign.
How did you know you wanted to be a writer? How did you get started?
I knew I wanted to be a writer when I started to do it full time and that lead to me being taken for a ride. So to speak the ideas were taking me places alternate endings were appearing to me almost by themselves. The thoughts the ideas were entertaining me I tend to write on topics that interest me a good deal.
Do you have any writing rituals?
First thing in the morning I lay in bed formulating a concept then breakfast then I write non-stop.
How do you come up with the names for your characters?
Good question I try and borrow from other authors
Did you learn anything from writing and publishing this book?
I learned that its a lot more convoluted an industry than I originally believed.
If you were doing it all over again, what would you do differently?
I would try and make some contacts in the industry early on. Other than that I had no idea I was going to be writing for a living one day.
What types of books do you like to read?
I like thrillers, actionable, suspenseful but ultimately cleverly crafted.

What is the best advice you could give other writers about writing or publishing?
Do it because you love to do it because lets just say there are more reasons people shouldn’t do it than reasons they should. However, as in most industry that’s not a good enough reason to be discouraged.
