Tell us something about yourself.

I come from a childhood that was peppered with physical and mental abuse. I survived countless nights of watching my mom physically abused, kidnappings, homelessness and drug abuse as far back as I can remember. These experiences have given me the ambition to move towards success by living limitlessly. I refuse to repeat the cycle. We all have the opportunity to choose to see the experiences as lessons that will carry you to your desired life.

I have used these unfortunate circumstances I lived as a child and turned them into a way to encourage others to live a life of confidence and strength. Many people are faced with the same circumstances as I did and they are not sure about who they are. My passion lies in encouraging people to heal from the inside out resulting in a strong, confident, empowered person that will change the world.

What inspired you to write this book?

I was inspired to write “Awakening Consciousness A Woman’s Guide!” because I want women to be motivated to take their power back. To live in confidence knowing they are amazing and are enough just as they are.

How did you publish this book? Why did you decide on that publisher?

I have a fantastic publisher, Loving Healing Press. My publisher has been supportive and encouraging. We complement each other very well always having the greater good in mind as we bring an idea for a book into reality.

How did you know you wanted to be a writer? How did you get started?

I have always known I wanted to write books. My main motivation was being the mother of 4 daughters. As I watched my daughters grow in confidence I realized that some girls might not have the empowerment that I have given to my girls.

My writing started as I looked back at myself and seen a low self esteem girl lost on her path and felt my story could give power back to these girls creating confidence and self love they might have been lacking.

What do you believe is the hardest part of writing?

The hardest part of writing is being able to relate to all people. With my books I want to be able to motivate and empower all people so including information that reaches all audiences is important.

To research for my books I have pulled experiences and situations from my personal experiences on my path of self awareness.

What types of books do you like to read? Who are your favorite authors?

Are you working on your next book? What can you tell us about it?

I am currently working on my next book “The Awake Parent: Raising Generation NOW Children.” This book will provide parents a resource to learn about these amazing children on our planet at this time.

What is the best advice you could give other writers about writing or publishing?
