Pam Adams – Author Interview

What is your most recent book? Tell us a bit about it.

When my husband and soul mate, Raymond, was brutally murdered, I learned firsthand how very real ‘life and after death’ is. However, I reunited with my lost love through communications from beyond the grave. My new book, Letters from Raymond, is a heartwarming story about love between two soul mates that transcends the physical world. In it, I share my story of triumph over tragedy and also offers readers 21 empowering lessons by which to live—shared directly from those in ‘transition.’

As a long-time, highly-respected South Coast psychic and medium, I offer readers an enlightened story that bridges the gap between this world and the next, my book is an extraordinary collection of inspiring love letters which I received from Ray after his untimely death.

Tell us something about yourself.

After having suffered a near-death experience as a child, I realized my gift. But it was not until the tragic loss of my husband, Ray, that I accepted that my gift was also my destiny. I use my psychic abilities to help those who have lost a loved one.

A mother and a grandmother, I maintain a happy life on the South Coast of Africa where I run Raybert Lodge. There, I helps heal the bereaved lost souls on earth who need spiritual guidance and support. I offer private consultations at the Lodge. Ray continues to send messages to me and we are working on the second book.

What inspired you to write this book?

Ray through automatic writing told me that after I had received all the letters and lessons that I was to publish them as humanity needed to become enlightened and understand the universal workings of Spirit.

How did you publish this book? Why did you decide on that publisher?

I published with AuthorHouse so that it would get attention outside of South Africa, where I am based.

What do you believe is the hardest part of writing?

Keeping memories real. Most people have such a fear of death that they don’t live their lives to the fullest and I wanted to be sure that I can portray a spiritual way of life and ways to find peace within your soul.

Did you learn anything from writing this book? What?

Yes…. What I thought would be an impossible task became a reality. I must say that I had never planned to write a book. I was told to by Raymond from Spirit. I thought at first that I would never do it, now they were expecting the impossible from me! There was just no way! But I had to… it was as simple as that. How would I begin? I did not know where to begin, I just sat down with a task given to me by spirit.. and I wrote that book. I have learnt that you can accomplish anything is life when you have Faith, Courage and Perseverance.

What are you reading now?

Fiction, it grounds me. Sometimes I need to get away from the Spiritual.

What types of books do you like to read? Who are your favorite authors? Why?

Mind Power by John Kehoe – Everything I do in life is based on positive thinking. Negativity begets negativity! Conversations with God, by Neale Donald Walsh.. Jodi Picoult… John Grisham, I Love Court Drama etc. I enjoy books written by Gordon Smith and have just read Spirit Messenger. I can relate to so many experiences that he mentions in his book. I too have humor in the work that I do and have a few laughs about it sometimes even though life as medium can be extremely demanding. If there were one person whom I would wish to meet it would be Gordon Smith. I think that we would have lots to speak about. He is so down to earth and that is what I enjoy most about him.

Are you working on your next book? What can you tell us about it?

Yes I am. Part of it is personal accounts of people who have read my first book and whose lives have changed through spiritual growth. There is a large part of my personal growth as a psychic and experiences I had while growing up, before Raymond…so to speak. It is still work in progress and there is long way to go.

What is the best advice you could give other writers about writing or publishing?

Don’t base your success on other peoples experiences, let your effort be rewarded for who you are and what it is. Finding a good publisher helps. You need the support and the encouragement.

What are you doing to promote your latest book?

I have hired Smith Publicity to help me promote the book internationally.
