Liz Cosline – Author Interview

What is your most recent book? Tell us a bit about it.

Yes, Absolutely, Yes!: It’s All About YOU!

Tell us something about yourself.

I was born in Philadelphia and later moved to New Hampshire where I lived for 22 years. I was in business management for over 22 years receiving several awards. I became a Life Ownership Coach -certified coaching individuals and teams to reach the goals wanted. This coaching is about balancing life, getting the obstacles out of the way, and reaching a life that fills.

I have been writing since 2005. I enjoy and have been honored to be a guest on many radio programs and speaking engagements including WorldTalkRadio, VoiceAmerica, BlogTalkTadio, WNJC, Federal Express, Hesser College, FUMCOG, and more.

It is an honor to coach people and see them get on the road that was meant for each.

What inspired you to write this book?

It is my fifth book after being inspired to write about how much potential people have in accomplishing the most difficult tasks. Even the every day activities are done over and over to work towards a better life. People dream about things that otherwise would not happen.

How did you publish this book? Why did you decide on that publisher (or to self-publish)?

I published traditionally with a publisher that I I have been with and has helped especially at first with getting books out and teaching along the way.

How did you know you wanted to be a writer? How did you get started?

I dabbled along the way through my life but in 2001 I almost dies of a brain aneurysm and believe that writing was handed to me at that time. Yet it was more about the incredible views that changed in me and my life as I wrote the trilogy of what happened during healing and looking at life as an honor to each person. The writing was first done as I was healing which helped me understand the questions that arose. Now it has turned into the amazing events of human potential and realizing that it is up to all people to have the world wanted.

What do you believe is the hardest part of writing?

The hardest part of writing is trying to force it. Whatever is being told must have a passion about it whether telling a story, telling thoughts, or explaining feelings. To simply sit down and decide to write is often the best way for me to have nothing come. This has been called “writers block” but for me it’s when there is no emotion behind the writing.

A second part that is hard at first is realizing that just because a book is written it does not mean that people will automatically get it to read. It must be remembered that when a book first comes out, no one knows about it so yes there will have to be some marketing done.

How do you do research for your books?

My books are about my own story so thus far have not had to do this.

Did you learn anything from writing this book? What?

I am always learning in any situation I find myself. Even when coaching i am learning from my clients. Through the whole experience starting in 2005 and through writing this last book, I have come to know that each person has the ability to have the life that each dreams about and wants. It is clear that the universe does not happen to people but instead people happen to the universe. This is a different way if thinking because the responsibility changes and allows people to realize just how much power each has in regards to their life. Very empowering and allows the belief that anything can be achieved.

From the writing and then going into Life Ownership Coaching I have seen people become clear on goals and be unstoppable in achieving how they wish life to be. As they grab hold of the drive within they realize that what is defines is absolutely reachable. I have learned that it is from the inside that the destination becomes clear.

What types of books do you like to read? Who are your favorite authors? Why?

I love quotes and poetry. I think because it can reach many emotions and thoughts in so many people. I especially enjoy Ralph Waldo Emerson because life is dealt with in his writings. I also am fasinated with Albert Einstein who seemed to explore the spiritual through science.

Are you working on your next book? What can you tell us about it?

Yes. This book will be about what success means and how to find it as an individual through different ways. It will also explore what giving has do to with success and why giving is necessary for everyone.

What is the best advice you could give other writers about writing or publishing?

Know that it takes time whether writing or getting it published. Make a plan, some goals and completion dates. Don;t get down and know that there are people that want to hear you message. Keep believing and write because it fills a place inside of you, because you want to help or entertain other, or because we all are pretty much the same thus going through the same kind of things in life.

What are you doing to promote your latest book?

Radio shows, press releases, use Facebook and twitter, and bring the books along to speaking engagements.

Where can readers learn more about you and your book?
