In Little World – The Magical Surrender, author Karishma Krishna tells the story of Charisma, a kind and spirited girl of Eternity Race, whose parents were viciously slaughtered by Devil of Sagginental Race. After Lord Ocean blesses Charisma with sheltering light, and her cousins, the children of other gods, resolve to escort and protect her, she takes off to Little World, where she learns defensive spells and powers. Along the way, Charisma meets Tristan, her soul mate, and together they learn to open mysterious marine portals and travel to other worlds. When they journey back in time to Scotland in the year 1080, they are forced to engage in the fight of their lives. Will Charisma and Tristan live to one day marry, or will they be cut down in their youth by the evil Goritha of Sagginental Race?

Tell us something about yourself.

Author Karishma Krishna shares her imaginative sense of adventure in her debut book, Little World – The Magical Surrender. Her talent and love of writing earned her a “best drama” award in her last year of college. Karishma is already working on a sequel to this novel, titled Little World – The Encrusted Stone. Karishma lives in Varondoli, Ba, Fiji Islands.

What inspired you to write this book?

I love adventure and a sense of adventure made me write Little World and when I began writing it made me create many more fascinating tales that I simply couldn’t stop and here I am; with a publication and a tale to share.

How did you choose the title?

I chose the title because of a myth. In the story, the characters travel to a secret place named Little World and when I chose the title, I added The Magical Surrender to Little World since the characters go through an adventure of the will to survive when a world sets out to challenge them.

What obstacles did you encounter in getting this book published? How did you overcome them?

I had to learn many more things about the publishing industry. I first encountered Writers Literary Agency from whom I got Strategic Publishing and Eloquent Books published my Books. In this very competitive industry I had to learn to be one of the best and by learning many more things, I learnt to keep my work professional and this has helped me a lot getting my work and publication going.

How did you know you wanted to be a writer? How did you get started?

I began writing when I was attending High School where writing fascinated me and I was one of the best English Student in my school and my writing developed beyond means and I was a local Queen of writing and still am and I began to write fascinating essays, stories which got me many awards and since then it has become my career and when I wrote my first Book Little World – The Magical Surrender with the help of Eloquent Books, publishing has become my happiness.

Do you have any writing rituals?

Yes, keep things organized, it helps a lot in making your daily live living easier especially when you are a writer. Get up early in the morning to enjoy sunrise and the day becomes yours for writing. Night is an oasis for writing. When you write, ideas come more freely and when you are an imaginative writer, images come naturally. Decorating your writing place, keeping a study, developing yourself as a writer helps you promote your work more. After all, writing is creative.

How do you come up with the names for your characters?

I string the characters names with my own choice of names. For instance, I think Stewart Gordon is nice but when I see Ian who would match my Character, I place Ian Gordon for a nice feel to the name and I use Stewart Blake for another character. Watching names reading names that strike you also helps from movies, books, magazines, television is a very great source.

Did you learn anything from writing and publishing this book? What?

Writing Little World has given me an immense sense of satisfaction and happiness. I have never ever seen a publication that is adorned to the author and it is my identity and my life. I learnt how to handle internet publication, corresponding with publishers who are very demanding, getting everything proper for them, keeping my writing a healthy balance for life. I gathered many well-wishers many fans who adore me and it keeps me laughing. I learnt to be creative and a modern idea of publication is what I need being who I am. A huge fan of writing.

If you were doing it all over again, what would you do differently?

If I were doing it all over again, I would learn to make myself happy because you go through many self facing journey and it is challenging that I feel writing is meant to be more light and creative. It feels you go over the moon and never come back. It is tough getting things done in a geography dealing with people, getting yourself recognized properly, introducing yourself properly, living a life of a writer and author when you should have many resources to be one. When starting, a nice career to supplement your writing is very good for the industry is very expensive with prices and you need to have a PHD to get started, that’s what they say, grin. A nice home especially for writing is another great idea to have your dreams to yourself. Becoming a nice person and having a vibrant personality is another great achievement to promote yourself in style. It helps with the image of yourself as a striking author.

What types of books do you like to read? Who are your favorite authors?

I like Bestsellers the best. They provide with the exceptional action and story related reading material that is fun. I love children’s book and basically any types of Books that can hold my attention. My favourite authors are Julie Garwood, Richard North Paterson, Dan Brown, Stephan King, and many more that the list would surely go on. They make me realize Books hold a huge interest in the Books Industry.

Are you working on your next book? What can you tell us about it?

I have finished writing my 4 Little World Stories. I had many time writing them since my publication took long. My next Book Little World – The Encrusted Stone is the second stories of Little World – The Magical Surrender and the story begins with the characters tales of Little World.

What is the best advice you could give other writers about writing or publishing?

I would wish them all the best since it is a very competitive industry and remaining on top means getting everything done accordantly in order to do many more e things for your writing. Have a huge amount of faith for that’s what moves me and other authors. Learn to be flexible. It helps a lot in many aspects of writing. And doing all the work yourself will help you publish your works plus you’ll learn a lot of publishing.

Who is the perfect reader for your book?

The perfect readers would be children. The extent of tale and imagination required will entrance them. Young adults will learn a lot on life and the parents would be perfect to gift them something like a treasure. The older generation would definitely want to explore many worlds of soul and they would love to read what gives them the most happiness.
