What is your most recent book? Tell us a bit about it.

The book is titled, The God Code in the Seven. It addresses the subject topics that occur in multiples of seven in nature, our physical, religious, spiritual and emotional lives and in the human body. The book contains 94 such topics, it explains and links 18 of them (which are close linked with each other and our lives) together, showing that their respective values and qualities at each of the seven levels, sometimes literally, sometimes symbolically are the same, indicating that our planet and all life in and on her is linked together through the life giving Spirit we refer too as God that is in everything, and that whatever we do to our planet, must eventually through the law of cause and effect be returned to humanity!

These eighteen topics are: 7 Heavens, 7 Levels of Consciousness, 7 Levels of Existence, 7 Physical Universes, 7 Steps of Incarnation, 7 Chakras, 7 Sections of the Tree of Life, 7 Holy Sacraments, 7 Archangels, 7 Ascended Masters, 7 Universal and Physical Truths, 7 Principles, 7 Truth about Spoken Prayer, 7 Corresponding Planets, 7 Healing Colors, 7 Major Glands, 7 Major Colors, 7 In the Human Body,7 Days of Creation.

Tell us something about yourself.

Hans Liszikam was born in Bonyhad/Hungary. At the age of seven at the end of WW II in 1945, the Russian Army forced him, his parents and two sisters out of their native Hungary. They landed in Germany were he was raised in an orthodox religious environment as the child of his Catholic mother and Lutheran/Evangelic father. Going to church on Sundays was a must, and any deviation from this was dealt with by the cane at school on Monday.

After leaving school in 1952, going to church became less frequent and eventually faded out altogether. The final straw that broke the camels back happened one Sunday, when the Priest had nothing better to say, than that there had not been enough money on the collection plate the Sunday before. He served and successfully completed an apprenticeship in building and construction but was more drawn to the side of mechanical engineering

Upon arriving in Australia in 1968, no church services were attended, except when it became time for the two eldest children to have their confirmation at a Lutheran Church in Sydney.
Having been interested in Astrology and other mystical teachings already as a child, he became involved with Spiritualism in 1981, as these teachings felt right and offered an alternative to the doctrine of orthodox religious denominations of hell and damnation, as he could not understand the concept of a vengeful God of the mainstream religions. The system of a loving Father/Mother God, Creator or Spirit as depicted by spiritualism, seemed to be a much better way of looking at this scenario.

A decision as to which way to turn religiously, was forced upon him and his family by the tragic and untimely death of their ten- year old son, when orthodox and spiritualist ministers approached the family to take care of the funeral arrangement. A decision was made to have the cremation ceremony performed by a minister of the United Spiritualism of Australia and soon after both parents was dedicated into Spiritualism (UsoA).

With over twenty-seven years of experience, learning, attending spiritualist churches and facilitating the service, spiritual awareness and development groups, lectures, workshops and meditation classes, and being the president and chairperson of the St. Clair Spiritualist House of Prayer (NSW) for two years, in 1988 together with his wife Rita and their friend Christine they opened the Spiritualist Church of “Love, Light and Harmony” in Werrington NSW (now the Werrington Spiritualist Church), Hans feels that it is time to give in to the urges from spirit and pass these experiences, learning’s and life’s lessons on to other seekers of awareness and enlightenment.

He has been and still is performing platform work in various spiritualist/ spiritual churches in Australia, is a lecturer and accredited Trainer/Assessor, certified Spiritual Healer, Master Teacher in Magnified Healing and Reiki Master. He was also a member of the now defunct ASA and holds accreditations as a service provider from Australia’s largest alternative spiritual/religious support organization, the “Australian Spiritual Association.”

What inspired you to write this book?

During my training and learning about spiritual matters, I became aware of the many topics in spiritual and esoteric teaching that come in multiples of seven and their occurrence in our lives. One night whilst trying to go to sleep in 2006,, I suddenly had this idea in my head (probably inspired by spirit) to look at these topics and combine them into a book together with their explanations. When I started to conduct some research, to my amazement I found there were more that I had dared to imagine and how they relate and interact with our lives. This is how this book came to be!

How did you choose the title?

Initially I looked at various titles including, “Seven, Powerful and Mystical Number of God,” but after reading Greg Braden’s book, “The God Code,” I decided to use the present title, because it reflects the connection we have with the Divine, nature and all of humanity.

What obstacles did you encounter in getting this book published? How did you overcome them?

Initially I tried to self publish, however, a lack of the necessary funds prohibited me from doing so. Thereafter I contacted several of the major publishing houses but was rejected without any reasons given. Eventually, in desperation I contacted the Strategic Book Group, who offered me a print on demand contract with me performing most of the marketing myself. So here I am trying to get the book out to seekers of enlightenment and spiritually aware people.

How did you know you wanted to be a writer? How did you get started?

I never knew I was going to be a writer, in fact, my handwriting is terrible, so, I really did not want to write. It all started after I became involved in spiritualism in 1981 through having to write essays on spiritual topic for assessments. But it really came together at the turn of the century when I started to write and present my own spiritual awareness courses and workshops on related topics.

Do you have any writing rituals?

The word ritual is often grossly misunderstood, it actually only means performing a repetitive activity, like getting up in the morning and having breakfast, attending a church service at regular intervals and the like. No, I do not have any writing rituals! I simply sit down on the computer and start to write about a subject. When the thoughts flow, I carry on otherwise I stop and do something else until I feel drawn to the subject again.

How do you come up with the names for your characters?

Since this is a non fiction book, based on the occurrence of real life topics, no character names are needed. The few names mentioned in the book are the real names of those characters.

Did you learn anything from writing and publishing this book? What?

I don’t know about other authors, but personally I find it very hard and disheartening when your name is not already out there, trying to get your work published even when the content is very good. There is this attitude among general publishing houses that the work of new authors does not sell, so they reject most of the material outright.

If you were doing it all over again, what would you do differently?

Given the experiences and difficulties I have encountered, I would suggest, (provided the author has the necessary capital to self publish including E-books, otherwise shop around for the best overall deal with royalties that suit the author. Most of all however, don’t give up after the first few rejections; keep sending your manuscript out, eventually someone will take it up but be weary of the many fake publishing houses that ask for a lot of money up front.

What types of books do you like to read? Who are your favorite authors?

As an avid reader, I read a wide variety of books, but my favored ones are about spirituality, esoteric, theosophical, ancient history and earth changes, evolutionary and other non doctrinal philosophies. Whilst I have no particularly favored author, I prefer books that have been well researched and are easy to read, as I myself wherever possible give my readers in formation that is as accurate as can be.

Are you working on your next book? What can you tell us about it?

Yes I am working on a book about 2012 and the ending of this 26,000 year cycle of our solar system with the proposed title being “2012 and Beyond, a Human Odyssey” (provided I can find a publisher to take it on). However, I am approaching the subject from a slightly different angle as I try to cross reference what is written in the Bible with the rest of the book’s content.

What is the best advice you could give other writers about writing or publishing?

As I am basically still a novice myself, the best advice I can give others is to stick to subjects that are currently in favor and choose a title which is similar to another published book but retain your own personal style of writing and research the subject/s thoroughly.

Who is the perfect reader for your book?

My book is aimed at the ever increasing readership of spiritual, esoteric, mystical and new age market. It would also be of interest to lay people wanting to get a better understanding of the connection between nature, spirit and ourselves and even to Christians and the Clergy as I refer among others to the 7 Holy Sacraments. I don’t believe a book of this type has been published before.

Where can readers learn more about you and your book?

As at this point in time I do not have a website (I am working on it), however, interested persons can log on to; www.strategicbookgroup.com and type in the title, “The God Code in the Seven” and it will come up, alternatively it can also be purchased online through Amazon.com. There is some information about me on the back cover and also in the book about the author.
