Dr. Edward F. Group III, DC, ND, DACBN – The Green Body Cleanse

What is your most recent book? Tell us a bit about it.

With my most recent book, The Green Body Cleanse, I was able to put a lifetime of research into one volume that the layperson can easily understand. In the book, I address disease with a different attitude than most doctors take: that the root cause and not the symptoms of disease should be addressed. A significant amount of the book focuses on the toxic state of the average person’s colon, diet and living environment and I provide readers with ways to test exactly how toxic his or her colon is. I then go on to discuss the overwhelming amount of toxins that we come into contact with during each and every day. I also supply solutions to the problems with a list of tips at the end of each chapter. Some of these tips are lifestyle-changing, but many of them are easy to implement and are promised to do a world of good. Finally, I give readers a complete plan: The Green Body Cleanse.

Tell us something about yourself.

I have a variety of degrees from many established institutions including a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) from Texas Chiropractic College, a Naturopathic Physician (ND) degree from the Natural Healing Institute of Naturopathy, a Diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Nutrition (DACBN), Alternative Medical Practitioner (AMP) certification from the American Alternative Medical Association, and more. I have authored several books including Complete Colon Cleanse as well as a number of articles that have been internationally published. I am currently the CEO of Global Healing Center.

What inspired you to write this book?

Throughout the past several years, I’ve become quite disgusted with the medical community. It seems as though the health care industry is more focused on treating the disease or condition when its real goal should be to prevent or treat the root cause of disease. After years of research, I discovered the truth about our environment: that we can prevent disease by living a toxin-free life (or a life that’s as toxin-free as possible). Upon making this discovery, I decided that it was my duty to share my findings with the general public so that others can live toxin-free, as I have been doing for quite a while now.

What is the best advice you could give other writers about writing or publishing?

Be sure to articulate and explain your topics in the clearest way possible. With The Green Body Cleanse, I discuss many subjects that are more on the technical and biological side, which can be very confusing for the average reader. I believe that one of the main reasons that my book has received such praise is that I took the extra time to appeal to the masses. I was sure to make my points and examples easy to understand so that the average person, without a medical degree, can easily follow and comprehend what I’m saying.

Who is the perfect reader for your book?

My ideal reader is someone that is interested in bettering his or her health and overall well being. The goal of my book, after all, is to educate readers about the toxic environments they live in, with the hope that my readers will take the extra steps necessary to alter their lifestyles and live a clean, toxic-free life. Anyone that shares this goal is the perfect reader for The Green Body Cleanse.
