Tell us something about yourself.

I was born in Belgrade (former Yugoslavia) now capital of Serbia on April 15,1959. Holder of a University degree in economics earned at Belgrade University – Faculty of Economics. Economist, blogger, aphorist, cartoonist and journalist at he same time. I have been writing more than 30 years I have published aphorisms and cartoons in famous Belgrade newspapers and magazines. I am, also, the author of a satirical play “Crazed and Confused” dealing with the breakup of Yugoslavia.

What inspired you to write this book?

Hard question… I guess I want creative way of life. Writing is creative job.

How did you choose the title?

One of my aphorisms is the title. Am I not right…We are defeated by hi-tech gadgets and chips are everywhere…We (human beings) serve them…

What obstacles did you encounter in getting this book published? How did you overcome them?

The biggest obstacle is that English is not my mother tongue, but ESL. Writing in foreign language is very hard job.

I make outstanding efforts to write in english.

How did you know you wanted to be a writer? How did you get started?

Frankly, in my opinion, the most respected persons are scientists, then artists (actors, writers, painters…).

Being scientist is out of my capabilities, but I “grab the chance to write a book”, using some amount of talent and work.

Do you have any writing rituals?

No. Rituals are for bluffers (politicians, CEOs etc…)

Did you learn anything from writing and publishing this book? What?

Yes, although very hard job writing is still easier than selling.

Those who pass marketing could live on writing, others must keep working on their dull jobs.

If you were doing it all over again, what would you do differently?

I will include new events in my aphorisms and cartoons. I do not know how world will look like in 2050.

What types of books do you like to read? Who are your favorite authors?

Humor, essays, book which deal with social and economic themes, etc…

Are you working on your next book? What can you tell us about it?

Not, at this point.

What is the best advice you could give other writers about writing or publishing?

Be hardworking, patient and selfconfident. Do not let others, in any case, make you quit writing,
no matter how high price is

Who is the perfect reader for your book?

Professors, Analysts, people with higher education (university degree and above) due aphorisms belong to very specific genre.
